Liverpool Iceland Holiday 2019

I am pleased to announce that preparations are in hand for the next expedition to Iceland that will take place from Friday 26th July to Friday 9 August 2019. This visit will mark 40 years of LGS involvement with Iceland – firstly supporting ICEX research and latterly, very successful holidays. In an attempt to offer some new experiences for people who habitually visit the country, this trip will focus solely on the southern area as far east as the Vatnajökull ice cap. Highlights will include Spectacular scenery encompassing volcanoes, glaciers and waterfalls A walk through part of Laki fissure - site of the 1783 eruption A day out to Vestmann Islands + boat trip around island of Heimaey Tractor ride to Ingleshofti to get up close and personal with puffins, skua and other sea birds The estimated cost for the two weeks will be in the region of £3150. This will include Flights from Manchester Coach, driver and Icelandic guide All hotel accommodation Most meals Not included are any of the “optional” activities highlighted in the itinerary below Places are limited to 25 people so an expression of definite interest would be appreciated at this time.
