The Society made a donation to keep the Charles Lyell Notebooks in the UK. They will be housed by Edinburgh University, but will be accessible to all. As a donor, the Society was invited to a celebration at Burlington House and the Hon. Treasurer Gary T. Billington went as our representative. These images show the first display of the Notebooks at the Geological Society of London premises in Burlington House.
